Introduction of Islam

Introduction of Islam:
Every Muslim Loves Islam with the core of their Heart.. Islam is the religion of Peace and Love..
The literal meaning of Islam is peace; surrender of one’s will i.e. losing oneself for the sake of God and surrendering one’s own pleasure for the pleasure of God. The message of Islam was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings on him) 1, 400 years ago. It was revealed through angel Gabriel (on whom be peace) and was thus preserved in the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran carries a Divine guarantee of safeguard from interpolation and it claims that it combines the best features of the earlier scriptures.
The prime message of Islam is the Unity of God, that the Creator of the world is One and He alone is worthy of worship and that Muhammad (peace and blessings on him) is His Messenger and Servant. The follower of this belief is thus a Muslim - a Muslim’s other beliefs are: God’s angels, previously revealed Books of God, all the prophets, from Adam to Jesus (peace be on them both), the Day of Judgment and indeed the Decree of God. A Muslim has five main duties to perform, namely; bearing witness to the Unity of God and Muhammad (peace and blessings on him) as His Messenger, observing the prescribed prayer, payment of Zakat, keeping the fasts of Ramadan and performing the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Islam believes that each person is born pure. The Holy Quran tells us that God has given human beings a choice between good and evil and to seek God’s pleasure through faith, prayer and charity. Islam believes that God created mankind in His image and by imbuing the attributes of God on a human level mankind can attain His nearness. Islam’s main message is to worship God and to treat all God’s creation with kindness and compassion. Rights of parents in old age, orphans and the needy are clearly stated. Women’s rights were safeguarded 1,400 years ago when the rest of the world was in total darkness about emancipation. Islamic teachings encompass every imaginable situation and its rules and principles are truly universal and have stood the test of time.
Every Muslim Loves Islam with the core of their Heart.. Islam is the religion of Peace and Love..
In Islam virtue does not connote forsaking the bounties of nature that are lawful. On the contrary one is encouraged to lead a healthy, active life with the qualities of kindness, chastity, honesty, mercy, courage patience and politeness. In short, Islam has a perfect and complete code for the guidance of individuals and communities alike. As the entire message of Islam is derived from the Holy Quran and indeed the Sunnah and Hadith (the traditions and practices of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings on him) it is immutable in the face of change in time and place. It may appear rigid to the casual eye, in actual fact it is most certainly an adaptable way of life regardless of human changes.
Islam teaches that the path to spiritual development is open to all. Any individual who searches the One Creator can seek nearness to God through sincere and earnest worship; it is central to establishing a relationship with the Almighty. This positive message for humanity fills hearts with hope and courage.
At present there are 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide and they form the majority in more than 50 countries of the world. Today Islam is the fastest growing faith in the world - its beautiful message is reaching millions in the far corner of the earth.

Islam Strictly Prohibits Committing Suicide

Islam Strictly Prohibits Committing Suicide:
Every Muslim Loves Islam with the core of their Heart.. Islam is the religion of Peace and Love..
Those people who perform these suicide bombings have wrongfully committed suicide, and this necessitates entry into the Hell-Fire, and that this person is not a martyr. Also the position as regarding activities of suicide, tying explosives to themselves and then approaching innocent people and detonating them amongst them, then this is a case of suicide. So whoever commits suicide then he will be considered eternally to Hell-Fire, remaining there forever, as occurs in the hadith of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
" Whoever kills himself with an Iron weapon, then the Iron weapon will remain in his hand, and he will continuously stab himself in his belly with it in the Fire of Hell eternally, forever and ever "
[Bukhaaree hadith no. 5778] and [Muslim hadith no. 109]
Because this person has killed himself and has not benefited Islam. So if he kills himself along with ten, or a hundred, or two hundred other people, then Islam will not benefit by that, therefore the people will not accept Islam. Rather this action will inbreed hatred and bitterness in the hearts of the non Muslims towards Islam.

If a person attends the need of his brother, Allah Almighty will fulfill his needs and if anyone removes pain from a Muslim, Allah Almighty will remove pain from him on the Day of Judgement and if anyone conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah Almighty will conceal his faults on the Day of Judgement.

How do we perform Salaah (prayer)

How do we perform Salaah (prayer):
Every Muslim Loves Islam with the core of their Heart.. Islam is the religion of Peace and Love..
When beginning salaah, men raise both hands. Tips of thumbs touch earlobes. Palms must be turned towards the Qibla. Saying of Allahu Akbar (Takbir) begins as hands leave ears and finished as they are folded under the navel.

Note: Women raise their both hands as high as their shoulders and say the takbir of beginning. Then they put their hands on their chest.
There are seven conditions for a salaat to be corrected:

  • Niyyat (intention)
  • Tahrima (To say Allah Akbar)
  • Qiyam (Standing)
  • Qiraat (Recitation of Quran by mouth gently)
  • Ruku (To bow)
  • Sajda (Prostration)
  • Qa'da-i- Akhira (Last sitting)

Niyyat (intention) is made while saying the takbir of begning. It is permissible to make niyyat before that, too.
  • To make niyyat for salaat to pass through heart its name, time, qibla, to wish to follow the imam (when performing salaat in jama'at), to mean to perform salaat. Such as Say, "I pray two rakat (or as many required for that time) Fard (if its Fard or say Sunnat if its Sunnat or say Wajib if its Wajib or Say Nafil if its Nafil) for Allah Tala Face towards Kaba".
  • Knowledge only, that is, knowing what is to done will not be niyyat.
  • The niyyat made after the takbir of beginning is not correct and that salaat is not acceptable.
  • When making niyyat for prayers that are fard or wajib, it is necessary to know which fard or wajib they are. For example, it is necessary to know the name of the fardand to say for instance, "To perform today's early afternoon prayer (Zuhr)," or, the time's fard."When performing the salaat of Eid or witr, it is necessary to think of its being wajib and its name.
  • It is good but not necessary to make niyyat for the number of rak'ats (cycles).
  • When performing a sunnat the niyyat "To perform salaat will suffice."
  • When beginning to worship, saying orally only is not called niyyat. Worships done without niyyat are not acceptable in all of four Madhhabs (Hanfi, Shaafi, Maliki and Hambli). Thus niyyat is done by heart.

Tahrima means to say Allahu Akbar when beginning salaat, and is fard. No other word to replace it is acceptable.
  • If the takbir is said too long, like AAllah (with AA instead of one A) in the beginning or Akbaar (with aa instead of one a) at the end, salaat will not be accepted.
  • If 'Takbir' is said before the imam does, salaat will not have started.

 Qiyam means to stand.
  • When standing, the two feet must be four finger's width apart from each other.
  • In Fards, Wajibs and in the sunnat of fajr salat Qiyam is fard. It means a person who is healthy but performs the above mentioned salaat while sitting, is not acceptable, He must perform all of the mentioned Salats with qiyam for his salaat to be accepted.
  • He who is too ill to stand, perform salaat sitting, and if too ill to sit he lies down on his back and performs it with his head (by moving, nodding his head, etc,). A pillow must be put under his head so that his face will be towards the qibla instead of towards the sky. He bends his knees, so that he will not stretch his legs towards the qibla rak'at of sunnats and of the witr and of the two ra'kts of the fard when performing salaat individually. It brings more thawab (reward) to say a short sura.
  • As qirat, it is wajib to say the fatiha surah at these parts of prayers and to say also a surah or three ayats at every rak'at of sunnats and of witr prayer and at two rak'ats of the fard.
  • In the fard (prayers of salaat that are obligatory), It is wajib to say the Fatiha and the other surah at the two first rak'ats. Additionally, it is wajib to say Fatiha before the surah. Furthermore, it is wajib to say the fatiha once at every rak'at. If one of these five wajibs is forgotten, it is necessary to make sajda-i-shaw.
  • At the third and the fourth rak'ats of the fard, it is sunnat for the imam as well as for a person who performs salaat individually to say the Fatiha. [Ibni Abidin shami, p 343].
  • A settled (resident) person who follows a traveling one stands up when the imam makes the salam after the second rak'at, and performs two more rak'ats, but he does not make the qirat. That is, he does not say the Fatiha or the other surah. He does not say any prayer as if he were praying salaat behind the imam.
  • In every prayer of salaat except Friday prayer and Eid prayer, it is sunnat for the imam that the surah he says in the first rak'at (after the Fatiha) be twice as long as the one he says in the second rak'at.
  • It is makruh to say a surah in the second rak'at three ayats longer than the surah said in the first rak'at. It is always wajib to read the Quran's surah's or ayat's.
  • A person who is too ill to stand, or feels dizzy or have headache or toothache or pain at some other part of his body or can not control wind-breaking or bleeding when he stands, perform salaat sitting.

Qirat Means to read (recite) by mouth gently. Reading gently means to read only as loud as him/herself can hear.
  • The recitation is called Jahri, that is, loud if its heard by people who stand of each side of the reciter.
  • It is fard to say an ayat (verse) of the Quran while in Qiyam (standing) at every Rakat and it must be in the order as they are written in the Quran. For example one cannot recite Surah Naas in first rakaat and Surah Ikhlas in second.

Ruku: After the surah you bend for the ruku saying takbir.
  • In ruku men open their fingers and put them on their knees. They keep their back and head leveled. in ruku as well arms and legs must be straight and then you say, "Subhana Rabbiyel Azeem" at least thrice.
  • If the imam raises his head before you have said it three times you must raise your head, too. Must not wait to complete the ricitation thrice. In Ruku women do not open their fingers, they do not keep their head and back level, nor their arms and legs straight.
It is sunnah, for the imam as well as a person who is performing salaat alone, to say'Sami' Allahu liman hamidah' while straighting up from the ruku. The jama'at does not say it. Right after saying it (if praying alone) or upon hearing the imam recite it (if with jama'at), must say: 'Rab'bana lakal hamd', and stand upright. Then, saying takbir (Allahu Akbar) start to kneel down for the Sajdah. First place the right knee and then the left knee, followed by the right and then left hand on the floor. Finally, the nose and the forehead bones are placed put on ground.

Sajdah/Prostration:
  • In Sajdah, fingers must be closed (no gap in between fingers), pointing towards the qibla in line with the ears, and the head must be between hands. It is fard to put the forehead on something clean, such a clean stone, clean ground, clean wood or clean cloth and it is wajib to put the nose down too. It is not permissible to put only the nose on the ground without a good excuse. It is makruh to put only the forehead on the ground. The nose should be pressured enough so that the bone of nose feel the ground, its very important to keep in account when performing salat on a soft carpet.
  • In sajda, you say, 'Subhana Rabbiyal A'la' at least thrice.
  • It is fard to put two feet or at least one finger of any foot on the ground. If both the feet are not placed on ground, salaat will be annulled and not be accepted.
  • It is sunnat to bend the toes and turn them towards the qibla.
  • Men must keep their arms and thighs away from their abdomen.
  • Sajda must be done on the ground on condition that you will press on them until you feel their hardness, that is until your forehead cannot move downward any more. Same applies for the nose. Special precaution is required on this issue when peroforming salat on a carpet.
  • It is written in 'Halabi': "When going into sajda it is Makruh-e-Tehrimi to pull up the skirts of your loose long robe or your trousers, and it is Makruh-e-Tehrimi to fold them before beginning salaat. It is Makruh-e-Tehrimi to perform salaat with folded sleeves, cuffs or skirt." Sepcial attention is needed on this issue for the people of India and Pakistan who wear Shalwar and Kurta. If pulled or folded one must repeat the Salat.
  • It is Makruh to perform salaat with a bare head because of laziness or without realizing the importance of performing salaat with a covered head. For, not to cover one's head means to disobey the ayat: "Take your ornamented clothes and cover yourself for salaat!"
  • It is sunnat to wrap turban around the head whether in white or black color as Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam used these color or any other color.
  • Allama Ibne Abidin Shami Rehmatullahi Ta'ala Alaih said. : "Direction towards qibla is fard for salaat. That is, salaat is performed by turning towards the direction of Ka'ba. Salaat is performed for Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala. Sajda is done for Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala only, but not for the Ka'ba. One who makes sajdah for the Ka'ba becomes a disbeliever."

Qa'da e Akhira:
Means last sitting in the last rak'at, it is fard to sit as long as it takes to say the Athiyyat, "Atthayyato Lillahe Wassalawato Wat Tayyebato Assalamu Alaika Ayyohan Nabiyo Wa Rehmatullahe Wa Barakatoh Assalamu Alaina Wa Ala Ibadillahis Sualaiheen Ashadu An La ilaah illal Laho Wa Ashadu Anna Mohammadan Abdohoo Wa Rasooloohoo" When sitting, and men put their left foot flat on the ground with it toes pointing towards the right. They sit on this foot. The right foot should be upright, with the toes touching the grounds, bent and pointing towards the qibla.

Note 1: Women sit by Tawarruk. That is, they sit with their buttocks on the ground. Their thighs should be close to each other. Their feet should jut out from the right.

Note 2: When you reach at Ashadu An La raise your index finger of your right hand upward facing about 45 degrees by closing the fist, and drop it back and spread the hand to its original position at illal Laho.

Khurooj Bi Sun'eehi:
To signify the completion of prayer by word or action. It means to finish out prayer by saying or doing something. Salaat is completed by saying, "Assalamo Alaikum Wa Rehmatullah" First by moving head towards right and saying it, then towards left and saying it.

Honesty of Sahaba

Honesty of Sahaba:

The honesty of tEvery Muslim Loves Islam with the core of their Heart.. Islam is the religion of Peace and Love.. he Sahaba was evident not only in their money matters but it also reflected from their day-to-day behaviour.
1. Once, Sayyiduna Ubai Bin Ka'b Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu found a bag of hundred guineas which he reported to the Glorious Prophet of Islam Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam. He Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam said: "Keep searching the owner of the bag for one year". He tried to find out the owner for one year. Next year he called on the Beloved Habeeb Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam who repeated the same command. He continued the search for another year and came to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam the third year. The Glorious Prophet of Islam Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam repeated the same command this time also. He obeyed the command for the third time but could not find out the owner of the guineas. The Beloved Habeeb Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam directed him: Keep the bag in your custody. It is better if you find the owner, otherwise spend the guineas as you like.
2. On one ocassion, Sayyiduna Maqdad Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu went to Baqi-e-Khanjbah for some work when he saw a rat accumulating guineas outside his hole. When counted, there were eighteen guineas in number. He picked up and brought them to the Noble Prophet Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam and said: Accept these as Sadaqah. The Glorious Prophet of Islam Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam said: Have you taken these guineas out of the hole on your own? He replied in the negative. The Glorious Prophet of Islam Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam said: May Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala grant you abundance.
When Sayyiduna Aqeel Bin Abi Taalib Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu returned from the Battle of Hunain, his wife said: What have you brought? He gave her a needle and said: Sew clothes with this. Soon the Glorious Prophet of Islam Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam proclaimed: Surrender even the needle and thread you possess. Sayyiduna Aqeel Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu took the needle back and surrendered it to the Baitul Mal.

Is Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam) Alive?

Noble Prophet Muhammad (Sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) Is Alive !
Every Muslim Loves Islam with the core of their Heart.. Islam is the religion of Peace and Love..
Indeed Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) and His angels send blessings on the Prophet (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam); O People who Believe! Send blessings and abundant salutations upon Him. (Surah Al Ahzab 33, aayat 56)

Section : What is Meant by Invoking Blessings on the Beloved Prophet (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam)?

Reference: Fiqh-us-Sunnah, Book 65. Supplications, Volume 004 : Funerals and Dhikr. Fiqh 4.136A.

Hazrat Aus Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu reported that the Beloved Prophet, Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam, said, "The best of your days is Friday, so send more and more greetings to Me on it, for your greetings are presented to Me."

They asked, "How are our greetings presented to you while You are dead and Your body is turned into dust?"

He replied, "Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, has forbidden the earth to consume the Bodies of the Prophets, Alayhimus Salaam." (Abu Daw'ud and Nasa'i)
Some people do not accept the Noble Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) to be alive. They say that he is dead and mixed with the soil. Allah forbid! The Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama’at believes that the Noble Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is “Hayaatun Nabi”, that is, he is alive both physically and spiritually.
Regarding the Martyrs (Shuhada), those who are slain in the path of Allah, Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Quran: “And say not those who have been slain in the path of Allah to be dead for they are alive and you do not know.” (Part 2, Ruku 3)
Since it is evident from the Holy Quran that the Martyrs are alive, then it follows that the Ambiya (alaihimus salaam), whose status are much greater than that of the Martyrs, are also alive. (Fathul Baari Sharah Bukhari)
In the Light of Holy Quraan:
Allah Ta’ala states in the Holy Quran:
“And say not of those who are slain in the Way of Allah ‘They are dead’. Nay, they are living, though you perceive it not”. (Al-Baqarah: 154)
“Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s Way as dead. Nay, they are alive, finding their sustenance in the Presence of their Lord”. (Al-Ale’ Imraan: 169)
“And how would you deny faith while unto you are rehearsed the Signs of Allah and among you lives the Prophet”. (Sura al- ale’Imraan: 101) This is a typical Ayah proving Hayat-un-Nabi – “among you lives the Prophet”.
The word “lives” has cleared all doubts. “Among you” has been generalised, meaning with every individual, wherever he or she may be regardless of time. Man’s vision and power of hearing is restricted, but it is not so in the case of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). His powers are far beyond imagination.

If somebody says, “Where is the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)? I cannot see him! Why must I stand and read Salaam?” Surely, this statement is absurd because none of us has seen Allah Ta’ala and the Angels. Kiraaman Katibeen are two Angels constantly present with every individual.

Can we deny their existence merely because we did not see them?
The above Ayahs were revealed after the Battle of Badr.

The Ashaabs (radi Allahu anhum) used to feel sorry for those who lost their lives in the battle, and used to say: “Alas, so and so has lost his life and has missed the pleasures of this world!”

Allah Ta’ala revealed these Ayahs clarifying that the Shuhada (Martyrs) are not “dead” but are transferred from one place to another where they live and are fed by the Bounteous Lord who is not deficient of anything. If the Shuhada are not “dead”, how can we say that the greatest Apostle, Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), is no more amongst us?
Referring to the Messengers, Allah Taala says in the Holy Quran:
“And ask those of our Mesengers, whom we sent before you, ‘Did We appoint any other god except the All-Affectionate, to be worshipped’?” (Part 25, Ruku 10)

Conclusion: These verses proves that the Ambiya (alaihimus salaam) are alive because Allah Ta'ala commands us to ask the Messengers about all matters. If they had passed away and mixed with the soil, surely, we would not have been commanded to ask them about anything. (Tafseer Dur Manthur; Tafseer Roohul Muaani)
In the Light of Hadith:
The Noble Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said:
“Recite Durood upon me in abundance on a Friday since it is a respected day. On that day the Angels are present and whosoever sends Durood upon me on that day, then his Durood is placed before me till the time when they have completed sending Durood and Salaam”. (Sayyiduna Abu Dardah radi Allahu anhu says),

“I asked, ‘Huzoor! Will you even hear (the Salaam) after your demise?’”

The Prophet (sallal laahu alaii wasallam) said, “Verily Almighty Allah has made it Haraam upon the earth to devour the bodies of the Ambiya (alaihimus salaam). Thus, all the Nabis of Allah are alive and they are given sustenance.” (Ibn Majah; Jame Sahgeer; Mishkaat Shareef)
We learn from this Hadith Shareef that the Ambiya (alaihimus salaam) are alive and they have only been hidden from us. We cannot understand their position, like those of the Angels that they are alive and present but we cannot obtain (see) them. Yes! Those whom Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala has blessed, they can even see them. This has been confirmed that the Ambiya (alaihimus salaam) are alive. (Umdatul Qaari Shara Bukhari)
Sayyidinah Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu reported that the Beloved Prophet, Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam, said, "When any Muslim sends greetings to Me, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala returns my soul to Me so that I may respond to his greetings."(Reported by Abu Daw'ud with a sound chain of authorities)
Conclusion: From the Hadith Shareef we know from our Beloved Master Sayyidinah Muhammad Mustafa Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam that Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, has forbidden the earth to consume the Bodies of the Prophets (Alayhimus Salaam). We also learn that when a Muslim sends greetings to Him (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam), Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) returns His Soul to Him (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam) so that He (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Sallam) may respond to the greetings of the Muslim.
Some people quoting this Hadith say that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is not alive since his soul returns to his body only when he is greeted.
Imam Jalaal’uddeen as-Suyuti (alaihir rahmah) said in the book “Anba’ al-adhkiya’ fi hayat il-anbiya” that “radda” means “ala al-dawam”, i.e. permanently, and not temporarily: in other words, Allah does not return the soul and take it back, then return it again and then take it back again, but He has returned it to Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) permanently, and the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is alive permanently, not intermittently as some ignorant people have suggested.

Another explanation of this Hadith is that Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is in the ecstasy of seeing Jamaal-Allah (Allah’s Beauty) and forgetful of his bodily senses. Such situations are not scarce in this world, either. One does not hear what people say to one when one is in a deep thought of worldly or heavenly affairs.

Can someone who is in ecstasy of contemplating Jamaal of Allah hear any sound ?
Thus, Its proved from authentic sources that the Noble Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is alive both physically and spiritually.
